“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” is a reimagined version of “Finding Nemo: The Musical” at Animal Kingdom, opening on June 13th. Since closing for COVID-19, the show has not reopened. In September of 2021, Disney announced that the show would reopen in 2022. In November 2021, the new title was announced, separating the previous show from the new version that includes element from Finding Dory.

Disney’s press release describes the show as being “fully updated… This show incorporates many of the songs from the original musical.” While it’s not clear exactly what content is being removed, the new show will only 25 minutes long, compared to the previous 35 minutes. This version of the Finding Nemo story will be a retelling of the story by the Tank Gang. They’ll be sharing the story with other fish at the Marine Life Institute. The set will be updated to use new set pieces, including a new LED video wall and a 32-foot-long sunken submarine.
“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” will have multiple performances daily, beginning on June 13th.
