With Galaxy’s Edge opening in just a few short months, let’s take a look at all Batuu has to offer. But first, a little history. Batuu is located along the galaxy’s Outer Rim. It is home to the Black Spire Outpost, a port for smugglers, traders, and adventurers hoping to avoid the First Order. Now let’s go through what attractions this new land is going to include.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Smugglers Run will take guests into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. You will get to walk through the Falcon, enter the cockpit, and fly through space on your very own adventure. There will be three roles for guests: pilot, gunner, and flight engineer. There will be two people assigned to each role for a total of 6 guests in each ride vehicle. Each flight will be different, since the decisions you make and how well you fly the Falcon will change the end result. We can’t wait to see this “souped up” simulator and how they make this attraction so interactive.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Although Rise of the Resistance won’t be open until later this year, it is going to be an incredible attraction. There are so many parts; it is the most complicated attraction the Imagineers have built. After joining the rebellion, you will be sent on a mission. Unfortunately, you will be caught by the First Order and be transported to a full-size Star Destroyer. We don’t know much more than that, other than there will be some kind of simulator and a dark ride. You might also get to see Rey, Kylo, and a few other favorite Star War’s characters.

Being on a star destroyer sounds like the most scary thing at Disneyland, being trapped in an enemy stronghold with the only way off being to steal a ship.
