Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disney California Adventure. This separate-ticketed event replaced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disneyland Park when Galaxy’s Edge opened in 2019. The change in venue provided a “clean slate” to work off of, and the event continues to evolve each year. Oogie Boogie Bash will begin at 6:00 PM, but an event ticket will allow entrance to California Adventure starting at 3:00 PM. The party will be on 24 select nights from September 6 to October 31. It is starting earlier this year to give more people the opportunity to attend. Disneyland and the rest of California Adventure will be decked out for Halloween as well starting September 2nd.

Costumes
Everyone is invited to wear a costume. The usual restrictions limiting costumes to children do not apply during Oogie Boogie Bash. It gives you a chance to act in character for meet and greets, which can give them an extra bit of magic. A few rules do apply, nothing can drag on the ground and capes cannot be tied around your neck for safety reasons. You also might want to bring a few safety pins just in case.
Treat Trails
Booths are set up for trick-or-treating throughout the park. If you have special dietary requirements, let the cast members know and they can help you to get treats that will work for you. They will give you a bag when you enter the park to use, but most people bring extra bags. You will definitely go home with a LOT of candy, so be prepared.
Mickey’s Trick and Treat
This Not-so-Spooky Halloween dance party runs on the Disney Jr. stage. Mickey and Minnie lead the dancing and the fun. This is a great place to let little ones get some energy out and have fun.

Frightfully Fun Parade
This parade of villains and mischief makers runs through California Adventure. The parade is led by none other than the Headless Horseman.
Villains Grove
Lighting, projection, and sounds transform the Redwood Creek Challenge trail into a sort of haunted house. Guests walk through the trail, seeing scenes inspired by different Disney villains.
Halloween Meet-and-Greets
Mickey and Friends come dressed in their spookiest. You’ll also have the chance to interact with Disney Villains who come to California Adventure just for Oogie Boogie Bash.

Photo Pass
Disney’s Photo pass is included with Oogie Boogie Bash admission. You can get as many pictures taken as you want and download them all for free. Make sure you remember to download them following the event though or they will expire and be deleted from your account.
